The very famous rapper Benny the Butcher has been shot and pretty much injured during an attempt of a robbery just outside one of the Houston Walmart. According to a report by authorities, the incident took place at about 4 pm on Saturday at one of the Walmart that is located right in the South Rice Avenue in the 5200 blocks.
According to the Houston Police, the rapper whose original name is Jeremie Pennick has been at Walmart with quite a few of his friends when he was approached by a group of five men and started demanding some things from them. He was with two other people and has been standing in the parking lot of the store. Five assailants have been wearing a ski mask and in a bid to take out their jewelry, approached them ferociously. Things happened quite quickly as Jeremie and his friends refused what they said and were not removing their chains quickly. After that, one of those armed men fired a shot in the leg of Pennick. Pennick has been moving very slowly as a shot is fired by one of the suspects. All this news was furnished to the media according to statements provided by the police.
Later on, the rapper Jeremie Pennick has been transported to a nearby hospital in the area by the EMS after he drove himself and the injury was not a life-threatening one. The doctors say that it is expected that he is going to recover very soon. There has been an ongoing investigation for the dreaded incident and everybody is hoping the culprits will be put behind bars.
The 35-year-old rapper is based out of Buffalo in New York and is an important member of the popular hip hop band, Griselda.
