Singer-songwriter Justin Townes Earle’s cause of death has been revealed through a post on his official social media handle. The singer who was 38 at the time of his death in August died of an accidental drug overdose. The autopsy says that traces of fentanyl, alcohol, and cocaine were found in his system. The overdose may have been caused by the usage of fentanyl-laced cocaine. According to the post, the artist himself was very concerned about the various dangers related to the drug. However, sadly, he succumbed to the same chemical. The post also shared a lot of insight and information regarding the ongoing rise in drug abuse.
Musician Justin Townes Earle’s death was announced by his family on August 24. He had spoken about his abusive drug behavior before and had experiences surviving five heroin overdoses by 21. In recent interviews, he has spoken many times about maintaining sobriety. He is the son of alt-country singer-songwriter, Steve Earle. He started his tryst with music at a very early age and has been accompanying his father in many performances. His solo career started with his 2007 EP Yuma and his final album was 2019’s The Saint of Lost Causes. The industry is shaken by his death as this brings yet another bad news in a year of endless tragedies.
