Butcher Babies drops their new single ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’ and announced a virtual concert date

The popular heavy metal band Butcher Babies has dropped their latest single called ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’. The band has also announced the date of their upcoming live stream concert 1st Annual Office Christmas Party, which will be broadcasted on December 18 at 8 pm EST/5 pm PT.

The new song is the second release from their next album that is due to release in early 2021. As per the band’s press release about the forthcoming virtual concert, they will be performing their most popular songs ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’ and ‘Bottom Of A Bottle’. The other singles from their upcoming album will also be performed by the band at the concert. These songs mark the band’s comeback after three years as they last released music in 2017 with the album Lilith.

The destructive vocals intermingled with heavy metal tunes reverberated instrumentation and addictive vocals in ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’ fit the band’s aesthetic with impeccable perfection. In the press release, the co-vocalist of the band, Carla Harvey said, ‘‘Sleeping With The Enemy’ is one of the most vulnerable songs we’ve ever written. The song is the ultimate ‘own your own bullshit’ song…because the final step in change is always admitting there’s a problem, right?’

Heidi Shepard laid out her thoughts and feelings about the song, ‘When face to face with what you presume as your enemy; who is it? Is it you? In ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’ the devil and angel on my shoulders met. This song is about hypocrisy and self-realization…’
