While pop star Miley Cyrus is already soaring high with her latest album, Plastic Hearts, she has more in store for her fans this holiday season. ABC came out with the official announcement on Sunday, December 20 that the artist has been roped in to perform at the Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve event alongside Ryan Seacrest. The annual program, which is widely popular, took to their official Twitter account to say that the excitement is real and awaited with bated breath. They also shared a teaser video of the artist to get the kickstart on the audience’s anticipation. Host Seacrest tweeted that with only 11 more days to the performance, the audience cannot wait to hear Miley’s voice in full power.

The new album by Miley Cyrus that was released on November 27 is rock-influenced as she gets ready to join many other performers like Cyndi Lauper and Jennifer Lopez for Rockin’ Eve. J.Lo will be performing right before the ball drops at midnight at New York’s Time Square. Lauper, on the other hand, will be joining Billy Porter for a duet performance from the Broadway musical, Kinky Boots. This year, the event will be hosted by ex-American Idol host Ryan for the 16th time. This year marks the 49th anniversary of the yearly event. The show will start at 8 p.m. ET on December 31 and will be telecast by ABC. The event is produced by Dick Clark productions with is under MRC Entertainment, a company that owns Billboard.
