Daily Music Roll: Your song ‘No MakeUp’ is set to be released on 8th March, what would you like to say about it?

CasanovaOnTheMic: Yes! No Makeup will be releasing on March 8 (International Women’s Day). I really hope once people hear this song, they hear the message. That woman are more than just skin an bones. I want this song to empower all women all around the world and help lift their confidence. I’m not saying to not wear make up, but to know that you don’t need to change and just to be you!

DMR: Do you feel women these days are breaking the pattern or taking their stand?

CasanovaOnTheMic: I feel it’s both. I’ve met some strong minded women who don’t even like the door being held for them, but I’ve also met women who have let the men take charge which is not wrong, but I do hope they see that they can rise on their own, but with support. Along with that, women are now standing up and embracing their bodies, but there is a majority of women that don’t so we’re calling those women who are struggling with it to join the message.

DMR: What made you come up with such a strong message?

CasanovaOnTheMic: Most female rappers tend to talk about women’s private parts and twerking in general, but I wanted to talk about things most females don’t. We are in 2021 and I’m not trying to put down anyone, but like I said, we are more than that. I come from a family with 9 brothers and I am the only girl and also the youngest in my family so I know what it’s like to fend for yourself in a room full a guys.

DMR: How would you describe your musical taste and influence?

CasanovaOnTheMic: I sometimes write about myself in my music, but most of my music is my friends venting to me and I would write about their situation which makes it real. I create Hip-Hop, EDM, R&B, Dancehall, Island, and whatever mainstream music you can think of.

DMR: What has been your most cherished moment so far?

CasanovaOnTheMic: Everytime I get off stage after performing and walk into the crowd, people come up to me and tell me they came to watch me perform.

DMR: What pushed you to pursue music as your career?

CasanovaOnTheMic: When I won the 2019 Guam Island Music Awards, I knew my music was good enough to take it to the next level. After that, I never looked back.

DMR: Who has been your constant pillar of support?

CasanovaOnTheMic: Everyone! My parents, my family, my friends, and most importantly My Fans! They are the reason for where I am today and why I continue to do what I do.

DMR: How do you want your listeners to connect with you?

CasanovaOnTheMic: Through my music. Once they hear my music, they see themselves because we all go through struggles and pain.

DMR: What sets you apart from others in the musical sphere?

CasanovaOnTheMic: My personality is in my music. I create what I feel is real and true. I sometimes might have a little fun in my music, but I do my best to make great quality music.

DMR: Any specific band or artist with whom you would like to collaborate in the future?

CasanovaOnTheMic: I’ve always wanted to collaborate with Avicii (R.I.P). But as of now, nobody in mind.

DMR: Has your creative drive taken a backseat by the events of 2020?

CasanovaOnTheMic: Not at all. It gave me time to just sit in the studio and create. I’ve create more tracks in 2020 than I’ve ever done before.

DMR: Would you like to share any special message with your audience?

CasanovaOnTheMic: We areall a work in progress so don’t give up. Keep your head up and just know you’re not alone.
