Releasing on Lifetime, Janet Jackson’s self-produced documentary will consist of two parts each. The iconic singer has dominated the pop music industry for almost four decades now and being a prominent figure in the music industry, the star is all set to share her personal story in the form of a two-part documentary.

The project is set to capture the singer’s most significant and notable career achievements including her much unfortunate wardrobe malfunction controversy during her 2004 Super Bowl performance with Justin Timberlake.

Titled Janet, the documentary will show the singer as an executive producer who is offering unprecedented access into her personal life. The documentary shall also draw light on her hyped family background that includes the demise of her father Joseph, and Brother Michael, and also her process of becoming a mother. The project took over three years to round up and includes exclusive archival footage and several not-seen-before home videos. The documentary promises to give an intimate and unfiltered look at the whole story of one of the highest-earning artists in the history of the industry.

Others who have joined Janet in the making of her documentary include names like Randy Jackson, A+E Networks’ Miranda Bryant, and Workerbee’s Rick Murray. Produced by the singer herself, the documentary is scheduled to be released on Lifetime. The release of her documentary stands as a major accomplishment in her career as the singer completes her 40 years in the music industry.

Recently Janet reacted to Timberlake after the latter apologized for the Super Bowl controversy. In an open letter posted on his social media account, Timberlake addressed the whole wardrobe malfunction episode as well as the media negativity that Britney Spears had to face because of him, stating that he failed the ladies.

Janet has now reacted to Timberlake’s apology through a heartfelt video message stating that never in a million years she would have imagined something like that to happen and that she appreciates his gesture. Janet expressed her deep love towards him and thanked the latter.

After the apology, Jackson thanked all her fans for their persistent support. She began by saying that the other day when she was at home, she started crying remembering all the love her fans have bestowed her with. She is grateful for everything that has been given to her so far.

Reportedly, Janet Jackson’s life story shall receive the documentary treatment next year and is a part of over two thousand five hundred hours of the new programming being announced at the A+E Networks. This structure includes 70 hours of documentaries and over 200 movies across its portfolio including top brands.
