World Kidney Day, 11th March has just passed and iconic singer Selena Gomez took this occasion to express her gratitude to her donor.
In 2017, Selena’s friend Francia Raisa had donated her kidney to the artist while she was suffering from kidney-related diseases.
World Kidney Day is dedicated to keeping kidneys healthy and spreading awareness regarding kidney-related ailments. Selena’s gratitude is making a noble move to the kidney donors around the world on this occasion.
Raisa utilized social media and tweeted about the need of talking about the impact of kidney-related diseases. She further confirmed that she didn’t face any problem personally after the implant but she is definitely proud of her health.
She said, “If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I’ve kept my kidney donation process pretty private. However, I think I’ve gotten to a point in my life where I feel comfortable and confident in speaking about my experience and using my platform to raise awareness for the various kidney diseases that affect our population.”
Thank you for blessing me. I am forever grateful to you. https://t.co/qW5Xm7GJpY
