There will be always a debate regarding ‘Who is the Queen of Pop?’.  Janet Jackson is answering that through the latest documentary based on her life, named ‘Janet’.

The artist shared the teaser on Instagram and wrote, “Hey u guys. Excited to share the first teaser of my new documentary with u.  #JanetDoc @LifetimeTV@AETV”. Yes! As simple as that.

Throughout her life and musical career, the artist has been always this humble with a greater persona just like her sibling Michael Jackson. But did she get enough recognition for her work? It’s time to reveal.

The teaser video also features a few lines of her 1986’s musical hit ‘Control’. The lines, ”When I was 17, I did what people told me / I did what my father said / And let my mother mold me / But that was long ago”  are punctuated with some smooth shots and transitions which depict her life.

In case you are wondering about the occasion, Janet Damita Jo Jackson has successfully spent 40 prolific years of her musical career. The artist is celebrating the 40th anniversary of her debut album next year.

The documentary is four hours long and will represent Janet’s life in January nights next year.

In the video clip, Janet says, “This is my story told by me. Not through someone else’s eyes,” assuring her fans and followers that it is her perspective irrespective of whether people like it or not. However, the fans are only showering love through the comments.

The clip also features, Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, Paula Abdul, her brother Tito, and many others.

A&E and Lifetime are going to air the project and they have confirmed it will feature the most controversial events of life. The documentary will cover her father’s death as well as her brother, Michael Jackson’s death which are the biggest tragic events of her life. Ranging from the infamous Super Bowl incident to her maternal experience; everything is a part of the documentary.

The artist has gone through a fair share of struggle and mental turmoil even though her songs only made listeners happy. It’s time to look back at the artist who entertained everyone with her precious contributions.
