Young and eminent rapper and hip hop artist Lil Nas X is already all over the internet with his extremely popular single, ‘MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)’. The song is part of his upcoming debut studio album, ‘Montero’ realizing on September 17th. Starting his journey with, ‘Old Town Road’, the brilliant artist has made tremendous progress with his recent creations. He is always sharing sneak peeks of the songs from the upcoming album by duetting videos on TikTok. His vibrant personality and his incredible music have earned him a huge fan following on the platform.
The gifted artist is always creating controversies with his eccentric activities. He made fun of his recent lawsuit from Nike in his music video ‘INDUSTRY BABY’ after he collaborated with MSCHF for their Satan Shoes, which is a limited-edition Air Max sneakers, filled with real human blood. The shoes were sold at $1,018. The shoes had Luke 10:18 printed on the toe. It created a huge frenzy among the social media crowd. When people pointed out that skateboard champion Tony Hawk also sold skateboard infused with his own blood. But he was not prosecuted for that like Nas, he shot a TikTok together showing he was ok with it.
He also made headlines with his controversial music video, ‘INDUSTRY BABY’. In the music video, Lil Nas X is seen giving a lap dance to the Devil. The picture of him dancing with a bunch of naked men also provoked many on Twitter. The flamboyant artist is known for consciously provoking his haters. He responded to the hate he was receiving by saying that he used to spend his teenage years hating himself for being gay and for the bullying he received. He said that the haters should experience the same anger that they teach little kids to feel about themselves for being gay.
When he announced the release of his first-ever album, ‘Montero’ on Twitter, he said that the creation of the album had been therapeutic for him. He said that he has realized that only his own opinion matters the most. While posting about the album, he still maintained his exciting persona and sense of humor. He trolled Drake’s album announcement that featured a picture of a series of pregnant women emojis. On Instagram, the rapper posted photos of him cradling a fake baby bump. The last photo looks like a baby scan but actually shows the release date of the album.
