British music artist Ed Sheeran announced this Sunday that he has tested positive for coronavirus. He also announced that he will be taking interviews and performing from his house itself while he self-isolates during the entire time.
The 30-year-old artist broke the news on social media just days before he is set to release his new studio album.
He took to Instagram to say that he has been tested positive for the virus and hence, he is currently self-isolating and following government guidelines. He also explained that he will now not be attending any physical commitments for now. However, he will be attending all his planned performances and interviews from his house. He also apologized for letting his fans down.
Sheeran had just been announced as the musical guest on NBC’s Saturday Night Live on November 6. His representatives have still not confirmed exactly which performances he was canceling and which are the ones he will be attending from home. Also, his official website lists no performances before April. The artist who already has 4 Grammys to his name is releasing his new studio album called “=” which is pronounced as “Equals”.

According to the singer, his new collection is really personal and close to his heart. He also mentioned that his life changed upside down following his marriage to Cherry Seaborn. Another milestone in his personal life was the birth of their daughter, which the couple announced in September 2020.
His post from that time said, “Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you. Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter – Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran. We are completely in love with her.”
The child is the firstborn for the couple. Ed Sheeran and his wife have known each other since they were kids. The couple also attended high school together which makes their story a modern-day fairytale indeed.
