Tomorrowland will extend the weekends from two to three only for 2022

The grand dance festival in Belgium is going to expand to three weekends in 2022 from two weeks, as the events come as a form of recovery from the grief over the losses during the global pandemic.

The representative of Tomorrowland Debby Wilmsen in an interview with billboard said, “The province of Antwerp has given us green light to organize three weekends of Tomorrowland in 2022, so only in 2022.” He further added, “All weekends will be in July, so we add one extra weekend before our traditional two last weekends of July.”

Tomorrowland will be held from July 15 to 17 and July 22 to 24 and July 29 to 31 in the cities of Belgian in Rumst and Boom. In Boom, the festival will be held in Park De Schorre and in Rumst the festival is going to take place in the area called DeamVile.

Wilmsen said too that the company is trying to adjust the lost revenue of b25 million USD by the extensions of the festival. He also said that the extension is only for the year 2022. The festival got canceled both in 2021 and 2022 and left a huge amount of losses for the organizers.

The cancellation of 2021 was a hard blow on the organizing company. They had to face losses as the festival was canceled two months prior to the event. The locals did not permit the festival organizers to run a two-weekend event over the concern of rising delta variant. The complexity of logistics is meant to ensure the help and safety check for the crowd.

However, it is now evident that the extension has been decided by the authority as compensation for their lost revenues of the last two years. And they are expecting that this time, they don’t have to face anything that can again make the cancellation compulsive for the organizers.

The ticket holders having their passes for the festival last year can roll over their tickets for the shows of 2022. A set of new tickets will be available soon as the addition of the third weekend is making the audience crazy.
