It is come to know that a man got arrested who claimed he was armed in the concert of the eleven times Grammy-nominated artist Doja Cat in Indianapolis.
The show was a free outdoor concert featuring Doja and the trio band AJR and was being held ahead of Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship game between Georgia and Alabama.
The crowd was gathered at Monument Circle in Indianapolis before 5 p.m. on Saturday evening.
As based on the news I got to know that the police had briefly checked the whole ground before opening the gate near downtown Indianapolis.
After knowing that a man has given a threat of having explosives with him the Indianapolis police rushed to the venue. The IMPD officers searched the bag of the suspect and did not find any explosives. After scrutinizing, the officers came to the conclusion that it was a false alarm.
For making an unrelated statement and creating a mess the man was immediately arrested by the Indianapolis police department.
All this made a chaotic scene because the ground was filled with ice and people were running everywhere with fear.
Police cleared out all the audiences as soon as possible and did a complete checking of the venue.
The officers are suspecting that the person was trying to get in front of the line and had done a poor act.
After 20 minutes of searching the police confirmed that there was no danger.
The show was part of the festivities for the College Football Playoff National Championship.
The audience had suffered from the incident and had to wait hours at the freezing temperature and witnessed the chaotic scene.
Last year the organizers announced that the entry would be first come, first serve, and I think that for this reason the person did such a disgusting thing and almost ruined the show for everyone.
The show got delayed by some time but continued as per the plan with thousands of audiences who celebrated the sporting weekend of Indianapolis.
This falls threat came almost after one month of Doja Cat announcing tested positive for Covid-19 and canceled all the dates for the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Concert.
The artists did not make any comment on the incident which I think is a better way to deal with it, and not give any free publicity to the person.
