Califonia native Miko Reed talks about relationships in her upcoming project, ‘Back to that Day.’ Featuring a fusion of sounds, it reminisces about the good old days and the beginnings of a relationship with a significant other. One way or the other, most of us experienced being complacent at one point in a relationship; we get caught up with the daily routines and sometimes we end up taking our partner for granted. The track is a reminder of why we choose to stay, for better or worse. ‘Back to that Day’ will feature live instruments, big vocals, rhythm sections, and horns playing a mix of soul, jazz, and funk.
Inspired by the Gospel, R&B, Funk, Soul, and Jazz, Miko Reed has always shown her consistency in composing music, performing, and singing. Laidback in style, her songs provide a soothing feeling that can take the listeners wholly into her melodic progressions. She started pursuing music by learning to play alto saxophone and piano, and soon she discovered her passion for singing. Miko also holds a degree in Visual & Performing Arts, studied music, fine art, graphic design, and video production. She has performed in many groups and recently sang as a back-up singer to Grammy and Dove Award-winning recording artists Rebecca St. James, Keith & Kristyn Getty, and Brenton Brown.
