2022 Grammy Awards is going on air on Sunday, 3rd April at 8 p.m. onwards, know who is performing on the brightest night of the music industry hosted by Trevor Noah.
The 64th Annual Grammy Awards will be held at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on the 3rd of April, Sunday. And the ceremony will be forecasted live at 8 p.m. on CBS and Livestreams on Paramount+, by the mass demand the show will remain available on the site.
2022 Grammy Awards is knocking on the door and the fans are always waiting for this event. And what this event will bring this year is something is looking up to. On the 15th of March, the Recording Academy announced the first list having the names of artists who will be performing on stage on the music industry’s most important night.
Artists like Brandi Carlile, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X with Jack Harlow long with the Osborne brothers will be performing on the day. Along with them Olivia Rodrigo, a rising newcomer will also be performing. With each passing year, the craze about this night is increasing.
Her successful debut album ‘Sour’ has become exceedingly popular recently. Along with that, she is also nominated for ‘Best New Artist’ and ‘Song of the Year’ in a total of seven awards of the night. Along with Arooj Aftab, Jimmie Allen, Baby Keem, FINNEAS, Glass Animals, Japanese Breakfast, The Kid LAROI, Arlo Parks, Saweetie.
Carlile and Lil Nas X both have received five nominations each. BTS got the nomination for the Best Group performance in Country Pop while Brothers Osborne is nominated for Best Duo performance in the same genre.
Billie Eilish is among the top contender who has received seven nominations for the night.
Trevor Noah will be hosting the show once again. And Jon Batiste is the artist with the most number of nominations with 11 entries to his name. Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Justin Bieber, and H.E.R. received eight nominations each.
The ceremony was scheduled for 31st January 2022 but got postponed due to increasing COVID19 omicron variant cases at that time on the Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles. On January 18th the new date was finalized for the ceremony to take place.
Two new categories have been introduced in this 64th Annual Grammy Awards which are, Best Global Music Performance and Best Musica Urbana Album.
