Emerging rock band Gundersen Drive has dropped its latest single ‘Nobody Wants You’, a high-octane rock musical arrangement. Paul Kis is the frontman and the vocalist of this loud, aggressive and expressive rock band that spits truth and musical clarity. The band is making huge progress with this successful release and the fans are going crazy. We thank all the members of the band, especially Pail for sharing a few words with us.
Q. Congratulations on the release of ‘Nobody Wants You’. How much did you guys enjoy the project?
A. We enjoyed it a lot. It is first song that was ever recorded in USA, Chicago. We also shot the video for this song. It is the only video that we have but it is only beginning.
Q. The song is pretty intense and quite relatable, to be honest. How did you come up with the context?
A. I am not sure, it was long time ago, but yeah, nowadays people try to keep distance and communication gets more online aspect.
Q. The musical arrangement is perfectly on point! Do you guys jam every day?
A. No, not in USA. I got used to have a band back home (I am from Belarus). Here I do not have one, but hopefully soon I can play with people that have passion to the music as I am.
Q. Tell us something about the history behind Gundersen Drive’s birth.
A. GD is a street in Chicago suburbs, I lived there when I first came to USA. I liked the name and rock is always a drive.
Q. Which bands and artists do you guys consider as your creative influences?
A. There are couple of them – Judas Priest, Ozzy, Nirvana of course, SOAD…
Q. How do you like to craft your tracks? Music first or songwriting?
A. Music is coming first, then me and my girlfriend think over the lyrics😊
Q. You guys are offering a unique and intense rock n roll essence. Can we expect any experimentation in the future?
A. A lot😊 I am almost done with record of my first album, so it is coming up.
Q. What obstacles are you facing in this modern music industry?
A. As many people try to get into the industry, it is becoming tense to get people’s reaction and at the same time Internet is opening a lot of opportunities. I am thinking that some luck and correct people who can professionally promote songs are all what you need, so I am trying to find them😊
Q. Would you like to shed some light on your upcoming projects?
A. Music plays an important part in my life, I put my soul and efforts to create tracks. Some of them are already recorded and I can not wait to show them to the world.
Q. Do you think rock music can bring a change in the music industry?
A. Absolutely. Rock is real and it is eternal.
Q. Would you like to collaborate with other music artists in the future?
A. Of course, why not.
Q. Is there anything you would like to share with the listeners?
A. Music is saving souls, so wish us all more and more good music 👌🙌
