He has established himself in the music industry with various songs. he has generated a buzz among all the music lovers with his upcoming song ‘Stay Out The Studio’ featuring Shaq Dup. recently we got the opportunity to have a conversation with him over a coffee, and that’s how it went –
DMR: Hello Mr. Joseph Q, it is such a pleasure to meet you. As a young artist, you have established yourself in the industry. How do you feel about your achievements?
Joseph Q: I still feel I’m still establishing myself, I have yet to start but at the same time I know the direction I’m going and the type of artist I want to be. I’m always writing the next song and the next hit.
DMR: Your fans are eagerly waiting for the song ‘Stay Out The Studio’. When will you release the song?
Joseph Q: The song will release May 20th as long as with the parent mixtape “Q’DUP which is a collab with Brooklyn rapper Shaq Dup.
DMR: What has inspired you to make this song?
Joseph Q: Haters… basically I tried to switch it up, Instead of putting a chorus, I put the voice of a ‘hater’ and the verses are basically the response to that hater.
DMR: How was your experience working with Shaq Dup?
Joseph Q: It was great, the dude is very very talented and can write a song very quickly, our styles compliment each other real quick.
DMR: What has inspired you to become a musician?
Joseph Q: The idea of self-expression and people relating to that self-expression. Music is everything to me, I can’t see myself not doing it successful or not.
DMR: Where did you get the lesson from it?
Joseph Q: Just by constantly listening and studying the game and being inspired by the artist I like, and constantly writing and never being complacent with what I write.
DMR: You are a hip-hop artist, is there anything you would like to try out in the future?
Joseph Q: I definitely would like to experiment with different genres and go beyond what an artist can do.
DMR: Are you working on something right now?
Joseph Q: Yes, I am working on my next solo mixtape titled “Music Machine, VOL. 1” I’ve been working it on it around the same time I was working on Q’DUP
DMR: How would you describe your musical career so far?
Joseph Q: I would describe it as playing the underdog and trying to prove myself to the world I can be one of the greats.
DMR: How was your journey to becoming a successful artist in the industry?
Joseph Q: I definitely want to be very successful, I never want to settle or be complacent, I want to strive for the most.
DMR: Who do you admire the most?
Joseph Q: The artist who’ve inspired me, the people who believed in me, and the people who support me
DMR: Any message you would like to give your fans?
Joseph Q: I have so much music in the vault right now, my fans will be eating more than any fanbase.
