The band has announced two tribute shows in the memory of their loving drummer, Taylor Hawkins, the 1st one to be played at the Wembley Stadium in London on 3rd September. Another show will take place at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on the 27th of September in order to honor their beloved bandmate in front of millions of fans.
50-years-old Taylor had been playing in the band since 1997. In March this year, Taylor was found dead in his hotel room in Colombia. There is no certain cause of death. But, a toxicology report came afterward that stated that there were traces of around 10 substances in his body including anti-depressants, marijuana, and opioids as well.
This will be the first time the band is going live after the demise of their beloved friend.
The tribute concert is been announced through a tweet along with a poster of Taylor in his prime being organized by late Taylor’s family along with his friends and bandmates namely, Dave Grohl, Chris Shiflett, Nate Mendel, Rami Jaffee, and Pat Smear.
The band has also said in a statement that other music artists will also join who have been greatly inspired by Taylor and his remarkable works. They will be “playing the songs that he fell in love with, and the ones he brought to life”, as per the statement.
The late drummer’s wife has also shown her gratitude to the fans and their constant support.
American rock band Blondie is coming back again with their first-ever archival box set named ‘Against The Odds’
They are making an epic comeback by releasing their first-ever archival box set titled ‘Blondie: Against The Odds 1974- 1982’ on 26th August consisting of a total of 36 unissued tracks.
As the news surfaced, the classic rock fans are ready to roll by rejuvenating the taste of Blondie. This latest project is being remastered from the original essence of analog tapes and the cuts are being built at the Abbey Road Studios.
The box set will be including the first six studio albums by the band namely, ‘Blondie’, ‘Parallel Lines’, ‘Plastic Letters’, ‘Autoamerican’, ‘Eat To The Beat’, and ‘The Hunter’ and also expand by including multiple demos and versions.
The fans are eagerly waiting for the box to unravel the complete document of Blondie’s studio sessions before 1982.
Not only fans, but frontwoman Debbie Harry also said, “I am excited about this special collection.” On the other hand, co-founder and Guitarist Chris Stein said, “I am hopeful that this project will provide a glimpse into the ‘process’ and some of the journey that the song took from idea to final form.”
Evidently, this archival box will be an exciting journey to the past, the era of ‘70s rock.
Christina Aguilera is joining hands with Mya to perform ‘Lady Marmalade’ at LA this Pride Month
The LA Pride event is set to take place at State Historic Park on June 11 to tantalize the hearts of her LGBTQ+ fans. It’s going to be more colorful with the unwavering presence of pop megastar Christina Aguilera. She is teaming up with Mya to create a mini ‘Lady Marmalade’ reunion this Pride Month.
The artist is willing to perform the 2001 hit track ‘Lady Marmalade’ along with Mya. The members of the touring stage of ‘Moulin Rouge!’ are ready to join them.
The original track first came out in 1974 performed by the all-female singing group Labelle. Along with Lil’ Kim, Pink, and Missy Elliott, the soundtrack was used in the movie ‘Moulin Rouge!’.
Singer Mya earlier said that she is willing to see a drag queen rendition of ‘Lady Marmalade’. Previously, she and Christina have performed cover and after so many years, this is going to be the 20th anniversary of their performance.
The singer said, “I’d like to celebrate the LGBTQ community with drag queens.”
The original track spent more than 5 weeks on the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and took the no.1 spot in The UK.
BTS megastar J-Hope is making history by being the first K-pop artist to headline Lollapalooza
This BTS member is going to create history as the first South Korean music artist to feature and headline at the Lollapalooza Music Festival in the USA, one of the major musical fests that take place annually.
The Lollapalooza Music Festival is taking place at Grant Park for 4 days starting from 28th July to 31st July
It’s also revealed that the famous South Korean Boy band TOMORROW X TOGETHER will be also making their debut at the festival on July 30.
On the other hand, Doja Cat canceled her performance at the event due to her recovery from the tonsil surgery.
