Based in LA, Nayan Raina brings a new creative wave to the music industry with his sheer talent and skills. The artist is garnering a lot of attention with his R&B single ‘Closer’ which is setting an example in the music industry. The track is fueled with an amazing musical arrangement that is masterfully utilized by Raina’s creative psyche and magical vocal skills. We thank this Uber-Talented music artist for sharing a few words with us.
DMR: Congratulations on the success of your musical projects. How does it feel with the response from the audience?
Nayan Raina: Aww Thank you so much. It feels like I was able to create what I’d visualized in my mind. It’s a great feeling trust me 🙂
DMR: There is a romantic approach in most of your songs. Do you write your own tracks? What is the inspiration behind them?
Nayan Raina: Lol yes. I ‘LOVE’ love. And yes. Absolutely, I write my own lyrics and melodies. I’m blessed to be surrounded by amazing people in my life who inspire me so much
DMR: It seems like you enjoy dabbling between different genres. With this versatility, is there any musical genre that you would like to experiment with?
Nayan Raina: Music is like water, like an ocean… It has no shape or form… It’s a creative process that, if done right… entertains masses. I’m blessed to have been exposed to multiple styles since my early childhood fortunately. I’d like to try country music though.
DMR: What do you think of the new-age music industry? Are there plenty of obstacles?
Nayan Raina: I love new-age music. It’s extremely melodic and serene. Mostly instrumental but those harmonies are so beautiful. Obstacles? Hmm… Since it’s pretty much instrumental, the vocal performances are very limited coz It doesn’t really showcase lots of vocals.
DMR: You participated in ‘America’s Got Talent’ in 2008. Do you not want to participate in any reality shows anymore?
Nayan Raina: Sure, if an opportunity opens, I’ll be up for it.
DMR: What comes to your mind when you hear ‘Dream Collaboration’? Whom would you like to collaborate with in the future?
Nayan Raina: Jack Harlow. I want him to rap on my melodic composition. It’ll be a dream come true.
DMR: Would you like to shed some light on your upcoming musical projects?
Nayan Raina: I’m working on a Bollywood EP – My first one. To be out early 2023. I’m super excited for what’s to come
DMR: Is there anything you want to tell your fans and listeners?
Nayan Raina: Thank you fans from the bottom of my heart. I’m nothing without you. Please stay tuned for my new EP. It’s going to be fire.
