The K-Pop titans on 9th January 2023 took to social media to announce the inclusion of four additional shows ongoing Born Pink World Tour’s Asia schedule. The worldwide concert tour is being undertaken to support the second Korean studio album of the group, ‘Born Pink’, released on September 16, 2022.

The news for the tour came on 6 July 2022, when YG Entertainment confirmed that the group would be releasing new music and at the same time they would be undertaking one of the largest world tours that a K-Pop girl group had ever embarked on. The group had announced a total of 36 shows extending from October 2022 to June 2023 in Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania.

BLACKPINK’s concert in Asia kicked off with two shows on the 15th and 16th of October at South Korea’s KSPO Dome in Seoul and recorded a total of about 20,000 attendees. The group released the first full list of dates and venues for their Asia performances on 28 October. Four dome concerts were announced in Japan’s Tokyo and Osaka on December 7. On 9 January 2023, BLACKPINK made the announcement to include four additional shows in Asia in Macau, Singapore, and Kaohsiung. The information for tickets for the newly announced concerts is yet to be disclosed.

After two concerts in Bangkok, Thailand, BLACKPINK is all set to set the stage on fire in Hong Kong’s Asiaworld Arena on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of January, before performing at the Mrsool Park in Riyadh on the 20th of January. The rest of their tour would include performances in Kuala Lumpur, Abu Dhabi, Manila, Macau, Singapore, Jakarta, and Kaohsiung. However, given the recent turn of events, an announcement of new shows in more countries might be announced. So far, the tour has met with positive reviews from most critics.

The previous week, on January 4, BLACKPINK became the first K-Pop music group to gain 2 billion views on YouTube for a music video on their 2018 single ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’. The group’s label YG Entertainment also announced a solo debut release by Jisoo in 2023, which she is working hard at. She has finished the photo shoot for the album jacket and has worked on the music production wherever she could take a timeout in the midst of the tour. She is expected to greet fans soon with news about her album.

After her group mates Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, Jisoo will be the final member of BLACKPINK to release her solo debut.
