Grammy Awards has always been one of the most awaited programme of all time. Recently in the 2023 Grammy Awards, the scenario was a little different from other years. No one has received a huge number of awards but it was a great award show to watch where every deserving artist got acknowledgment for their work. This year Grammy became even more adventurous as Beyoncé became the most Grammy winner of all time. She is the only person who got a total of 32 awards in her career. Along with Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Harry Styles, and Adele won awards and became the star of the night.
On this biggest night of music, we got to see a lot of things that no one has watched before. Here are some best, mid, and worst parts of this year’s Grammy Awards that you shouldn’t miss.
The Best
Beyoncé became the highest Grammy Awards holder
The show started with Beyoncé’s award-winning but surprisingly she was late for the event. A lot of people is assuming that the artist has done that purposely to make her entry even grander. She won the 32nd award for her breathtaking creation ‘Renaissance’. When she received the award she only said that ‘trying not to be too emotional, trying to just receive this night’ and thanked god and her family members. Beyoncé winning the Grammy for one more time made the show even more graceful.
The hip-hop tribute
Grammy is the only award show that is celebrating hip-hop for 50 long years. This year we all got to see giving tribute to the genre. Artists sang songs like ‘My Mind Playing Tricks on Me’, ‘Method Man’, ‘Look At Me Now’, ‘We Gonna Make It’, ‘Freestyle’, and many more. Rap legends have entertained the audiences with their exceptional performances and celebrated the occasion in a whole different way, which made it even more enthusiastic.
A stunning view with stars all around the crowd
It can be said that watching the stars in their own way in the crowd is much more charming rather than on the stage. Lizzo and Adele have been seen at their table looking a complete stunners. Not only has that amazed all but Taylor Swift’s dancing when no one is dancing is also quite captivating. Along with that Kendrick with Nile Rodgers was also looking great. In this Grammy not only the stage was astonishing but the crowd was equally gorgeous and we could take our eyes off it.
A wonderful show opening act by Bad Bunny
The talented artist Bad Bunny started the biggest event of music with his magnificent act. The outstanding joyful performance set the stage on fire at the very beginning of the event. This Puerto Rican artist has taken the bar so high that it is now making it difficult for other artists in the coming future. It can be said that his performance will be remembered by all for the next decade at least. He has also won the award for Best Música Urbana Album, which is really appreciated.
The Mid
A shabby performance by Steve Lacy
This year Steve Lacy’s performance somewhere missed the charm and didn’t create an engagement with the audience. It can be said that it kind of failed to feel a deeper sense of his performance. He is a talented artist who has shown his charisma previously in his work but in the Grammy, he couldn’t make such an impact on the viewers. The awkward dance in his performance somehow diminished the act leaving a bland feeling. But the artist bagged his first-ever Grammy in 2023 which is quite admirable.
The Worst
Harry Style’s disappointing performance
Harry Styles has always been a treat to watch but now audiences are showing their disappointment in his Grammy performance. His exhausted performance of ‘As It Was’ has left their fans disheartened. He is the only singer-performer who has not spread a charm with his singing skill but his stage presence is something that his fans would die for. Here in Grammy too, his attire was something that is difficult to take eyes off but sadly his performance couldn’t do better than his dress.
What is the meaning of a joke Trevor Noah?
Trevor Noah is well known for his subtle humor but in the Grammy, he clearly couldn’t make anyone laugh with his joke. This is the third year in a row where Trevor couldn’t showcase his talent on the stage of Grammy. His set was just some bland jokes where he was clearly putting so much effort to make the audience laugh at least once. But he clearly missed this chance to impress the audience in the Grammy awards.
These are some memorable good and bad parts of Grammy Awards. But overall the show was amazing and we all got to see various things that night which we all will remember.
