Proving to be a no-nonsense track braced for the highest impact and for delivering the most intense musical experience to listeners from the very outset, Tu Treal’s ‘Face your Fears’ takes the hip-hop scene by storm. The heavy bass work, trippy synths, gritty and raspy vocals, and haunting riffs give the song a unique character and convey its strength of sound design that makes it stand out. It exudes a defiant level of optimism and confidence that makes it infectious and catches the unwavering attention of listeners.
The artist keeps the lyrics raw and authentic, intriguing the listeners while fully showcasing the depth of passion that he wishes to convey through them. The fierce soundscape emerges as devoted to contemporary rap as to a writing style rife with poetic intention. The faultless sound design with a freestyle call-and-response vocal effect connects to the audience on a different level and evokes a nostalgic effect in them. The flair of storytelling that Tu Treal possesses makes ‘Face your Fears’ instantly engaging, just like his other tracks, like ‘MY TYME’ and ‘WITH ME TONIGHT’.
Born David Turner in 1987 in Hattiesburg Mississippi, one of the roughest neighbourhoods in Hattiesburg, the singer grew up witnessing a sordid environment where he lived. He moved from Mississippi at around the age of 10 or 11 when his father joined the military and moved around from state to state seeing a different part of the world that he wasn’t used to. Finding his passion for rap at the early age of 11, the artist built up his reputation as a rapper throughout his schooldays and even got a break with Teddy Riley, which could not come to fruition. But that did not discourage him and driven by his innate passion for music, the artist continued his music career even after he became a father of two kids and moved to Georgia.
