At the very beginning of this year, Taylor Swift started her ‘Eras Tour’. But that is not the only surprising thing for her fans. The Swifties were also left shocked to hear the ‘Sahke If Off’ singer broke things off with her boyfriend of 6 and half years, Joe Alwyn. He was the main muse behind Taylor’s past 5 albums. Swift quickly moved on and this time with the English singer-songwriter Matty Healy. Healy has recently been into several controversies due to his extremely problematic and racist behavior.
The 1975 band member and lead vocalist Healy has been into many controversies and altercations where he appeared to be racist, and anti-Semitic. This is why the fans of Taylor Swift are currently not very happy with her and keep asking Swift to turn down these dating rumors online. Last week, the British tabloid, The Sun reported that Taylor had moved on from her past relationship with Joe and now is with the frontman of 1975, Matty Healy. This is not the first time both these singers are linked together, as one source said, “She and Matty are madly in love. It’s super-early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost ten years ago but timings just didn’t work out.”
The insider also added, “They are both massively proud and excited about this relationship and, unlike Taylor’s last one — which was very much kept out of the spotlight, deliberately — she wants to ‘own’ this romance, and not hide it away.” To fuel the dating rumors, just after 2 days the news broke, Matty was seen at Taylor’s Eras tour in Nashville in a VIP Tent. then he went ahead and attended 3 more shows at the weekend and even performed with Phoebe Bridgers, on Saturday who is Taylor Swift’s opening act.
However, this rumored dating has not gone well with Taylor fans, who have continuously criticized the singer’s association with Healy. This is mainly because of the problematic behavior of the singer who was reportedly seen doing a Nazi salute in January, just after days after International Holocaust Remembrance Day. He has also made some pretty racist comments against Ice Spice, the American rapper this year along with mocking Japanese accents on his Podcast in February. The episode was then removed from both Spotify and Apple. Healy is currently on tour as well where he has come under scrutiny for kissing random women on crowd and sucking on their fingers.
