Sam Asghari Asking For Divorce From Britney After 14 Months Of Marriage

After the controversy with the prenup money, Sam Asghari is now seeking a divorce from Britney Spears 14 months after their grand wedding. Pop Star Spears was released from a legal conservatorship and decided to marry Sam last year. But now, 29-year-old Asghari is claiming that there are “irreconcilable differences” on the Divorce file at Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday.

Sam Asghari is also seeking spousal support and payment of legal fees by Britney Spears. Asghari shared in an Instagram post that he and the popstar “have decided to end our journey together.” He further added, “We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always.” Sam pledged “S*** happens. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.” The representative for Spears has not commented on the matter yet.

After dating for around 6 years, Asghari and Spears got married 14 months back in June 2022. Perhaps they were waiting for the end of the conservatorship that held back the ‘I Wanna Go’ singer’s personal life and finances for 13 years. During the court trials, Britney also expressed about her longing for marriage and a new family without any restrictions.

Though this is the first marriage for Iranian-born Asghari who is famous for appearing in the Showtime series “Black Monday,” this is the third marriage for Britney. Previously, she married her childhood friend Jason Alexander in a surprise ceremony in 2004, in Las Vegas. But it ended shortly and Britney got married to dancer Kevin Federline with whom she has two sons. However, their marriage also ended in 2007 with divorce and she is still filling in for the child support. Now, it is time to see how this new divorce is going to bring a change.
