The young fan died while attending Taylor Swift’s Rio concert

Extreme heat exhaustion caused the death of Brazilian fan Ana Clara Benevides Machado after she passed out while attending Taylor Swift’s concert in Rio de Janeiro. The forensics report stated that she suffered from cardiorespiratory arrest.

The 23-year-old fan fainted when she was in the front row of the Estadio Nilton Santos Stadium as she was waiting for the show to start and passed away several hours later when she was at the hospital.

The organizer of the show, T4F stated the company “followed the best practices” and added with “every demand from authorities” and also “distributed thousands of bottles of water” to the fans. The organizer denied that they did not allow the people to bring their own water to the stadium.

Moreover, TF4 stated Benevides “was promptly cared for by members of a rescue team and sent (to the hospital) in an intensive-care unit ambulance” further added, “In our 40 years in the business, this company had never registered a tragic episode,”

The Rio’s public prosecutor’s office has started a criminal investigation. The police of Rio said that right after the forensics report was examined on Wednesday “representatives of the company organising the event will be called to testify”.

The heart-wrenching death of Benevides’ has leaf Brazil shaking. She took her first traveling flight from the center-west region of the country to witness her favorite singer performing.

Additionally, the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer posted on Instagram after the sudden death of her fan, and the case has left her ‘shattered heart’.

José Weiny Machado, the father of Benevides shared to the news website named G1 that he “never doubted the cause of death was the heat”.

João Paulo Sales Delmondes, the lawyer of Benevides’ father stated in a video that was shared with journalists, said the forensics report “confirms the failings of the event’s organization”. Along with it, added, “Ana Clara’s family wants to wait until the investigations are finished to study what will unfold to punish those responsible in the criminal case and seek the necessary legal actions to claim for damages,”

Meanwhile, the ‘Lover’ expresses how much devastated she feels after the unfortunate incident, penned down in her Instagram account, “I can’t believe I’m writing these words, but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show. I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this.” Moreover continued writing, “There’s very little information I have other than the fact that she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young.”

Furthermore, she added, “I’m not going to be able to speak about this from the stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it. I want to say now I feel this loss deeply, and my broken heart goes out to her family and friends. This is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil.”
