On January 4, Thursday, Young Thug came back to Fulton County Superior Court for a shortened court day in Georgia. The jury dismissed the trial around noon local time and Young Thug was found smiling in his brown suit. Just like yesterday, the rapper was joined by his five alleged associates.
Trontavious “Tick” Stephens accepted a plea deal back in 2022 and he has continued his testimony to this day. As Judge Glanville conducts Veteran’s court on Friday, there will be no trial on January 5.

During Tick’s testimony, he read through the messages of a group chat where many several YSL members were included. In the group, the rapper allegedly wrote, “Y’all ain’t beat ’em up or shot em yet? Y’all gettin soft.” In a separate group chat, Tick read that Thug allegedly added, “YSL rule the world..ya’ll just start bringing me the money.”
Tick was facing a barrage of questions from prosecutor Adriane Love, who is continuously trying to get the YSL co-founder to admit his crimes. He was directly engaged in various street and gang activities along with Young Thug and Walter Murphy, under the common shade of the YSL umbrella.
Judge Glanville is one of the most strict and profound members of law who is well revered for his decisions or court verdicts. He reprimanded defense attorney Deamonte Kendrick who represented Yak Gotti as the attorney was continuously interrupting court proceedings. The Judge has also thrown a woman outside the court for chewing gum during the ongoing case.
Before the trial wrapped for the day, the court asked Tick to elaborate on the term ‘Snitch’. The person was asked to use the word in a sentence and was also asked to determine whether snitch is a good thing or a bad thing to do. In response, Tick said, “I really don’t feel I understand the term,”. He further added that he was “aware of” the term, however, it “didn’t mean anything” to him.
“Sit down and stop interrupting, Mr. Matthews!” Judge Glanville yelled at Deamonte Kendrick aka #YakGotti‘s attorney during court today. “I don’t need any help from you.” #YSL #YoungThug pic.twitter.com/itOn8voTLH

Young Thugs is currently facing multiple charges including the violation of Georgia’s RICO Act. Prosecutors are trying hard to prove that Young Thug and six codefendants used the YSL record label in order to conduct their violent gang activity. The state also claims that he has committed many violent crimes like armed robbery, conspiring to murder, as well as participating in criminal street gang activity.
A jury of 12 members is looking after this case and they will decide whether Thug walks free or not. While the trial is expected to last a few more weeks, the 15th day will be taking place on Monday, January 8th.
