Bts Member Jin Light Up The Paris Olympics Torch Relay

After a century, the Olympics returned to Paris, and this time the prestigious torch relay took place on the 14th of July, 12 days before all excitement started on the 26th of July.

In the opening ceremony of The Paris Olympics, BTS member Jin held the torch high to declare the beginning of this game show officially. For Jin, this was his first public appearance after he completed his military service in the Korean Army. Thousands of his fans have gathered on the streets to cheer him for this new chapter of his career. They all cheered for him also coinciding with the France’s Bastille Day celebrations.

Being a member of the global phenomenon K-pop group BTS, Jin took center stage in Paris as he carried the torch to declare the upcoming excitement of the 2024 Paris Olympics Summer Games. In this momentous juncture, thousands of his fans and supporters gathered together to celebrate the return of the Paris Olympics after 100 years. The last time Paris hosted an Olympics was in 1924. The first time Paris hosted the Olympics was in 1900. The 2024 Paris Olympics is the third time the country is celebrating this historical game show.

Jin emerged at the Louvre Museum around noon to lead his section of the relay race. The streets were filled with passionate BTS supporters and members of the BTS ARMY. They all gathered to celebrate their beloved idol bearing the torch. The fans also had handmade signs in Korean to express their love and dedication to him. To this electrifying ambiance, Jin was sporting a shy smile as he ran bearing the torch in his hand. His actions outpour affection from the large fanbase gather around his trajectory.

He ran a 200-meter stretch while being guarded by police along the Rue de Rivoli bearing the flame of the Olympics proudly in his hand. Along with this, France was also celebrating their Bastille Day which added an extra layer of significance to this celebration. On completing his run he shared his gratitude with some kind words.

Jin said, “I feel extremely honored to have been able to participate in today’s torch relay. I sincerely thank ARMY and all the fans who made it possible for me to carry the torch.” He is the first member of his group to fulfill this prestigious duty, symbolizing a new chapter in his career and also a very proud of his country.
