All the Best Moments from the 2024 Kids’ Choice Awards

The 2024 Kids’ Choice Award turned out to be as exciting as it was meant to be the assassination attempt on the President could not stop it. The Award show that took place on Saturday started and executed successfully without mentioning the distressing situation of the country regarding its security and politics and seems to be the right choice for an award show that is specially designed for the kids to enjoy. Instead, the show started with the tagline that AC/DC used in their Billboard 200-topping album which reads, “For Those About to Watch Awards Shows, We Salute You.”

While it is highly exciting for the kids, it is also quite unreal for the artists as they get to perform for the audience whom they cannot approach in the regular shows. Performing for the young generation sure offers them an invigorating dose of happiness. Many young music artists in the industry right now have grown up watching the Kids’ Choice Award and now they are getting to perform in it. That sounds surely awesome and artists’ would agree to it. Let’s take a sneak peek at the top moments in the 2024 Kids’ Choice Awards.

Surprisingly, Reneé Rapp won the award for the favorite breakout artist who did a great job in beating other artists like Ice Spice, Jelly Roll, Coco Jones, Teddy Swims, Tate McRae, and also Victoria Monét. Ice Spice had a total of four tracks in the top 10 for the Hot 100. There is also Tyla, Swims, and McRae in the list of top 10. Swims is buzzing in the top list with the song ‘Lose Control’.

Rapp has not landed in the Hot 100 hit yet but she managed to win the hearts of the kids as she was starring in the 2024 rendition of ‘Mean Girls’ where she played the role of Regina George and also contributed to the soundtrack. Rapp winning the award makes a total of four artists from the LGBTQ+ community among the last five winners. In 2019, it was Billie Eilish, and then Lil Nas X in 2020. Dove Cameron won the award in 2023.

Artists Who Got Snubbed

The most iconic music artists in the industry like Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, and Miley Cyrus, had a total of 4 nods but Taylor Swift led the rally with a total of six nods. Even Olivia Rodrigo had four nods and no one could beat Twift when it comes to kids. It is also surprising for Miley Cyrus, everyone’s favorite Hannah Montana who garnered a lot of attention with the 2023’ hit single ‘Flowers’.

Surprise for Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia Rodrigo or everyone’s favorite O-Rod won the award for the best album with her hit album project ‘GUTS’. Surprisingly, it has beaten Taylor Swift’s  ‘The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology’ as well as ‘Barbie: The Album’ which are the favorite ones for many kids. Miley Cyrus ‘Endless Summer Vacation’, Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’, and Jelly Roll’s ‘Whitsitt Chapel’ did not even stand a chance. Well, “It is what it is”.

While Taylor Swift won the award for the favorite female artist, Post Malone took the award home for the favorite male artist. It is quite normal to think that is because of their Hot 10 collaboration projects. But that is not the case. Driving everyone away, Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, and Aqua won the award for favorite music collaboration for their hit project  “Barbie World,” and “Fortnight” could not do anything.

Imagine Dragons, The Best Band Ever

The band that won the award for won favorite music group is the non but Imagine Dragons who has beaten four other groups who are the former winners in the category. Black Eyed Peas has taken the award home three times while the Jonas Brothers won the award twice. On the other hand, there is Maroon 5 and NSYNC who have won it for once. Surprisingly, Coldplay has not won the award yet.

Ken Got Snubbed to Young Wonka

‘Barbie’ has a strong hold on kids and goes without saying that most characters from the movie are a favorite to kids. But Ryan Gosling as Ken did not have much effect on kids like Timothée Chalamet did as ‘Wonka’. As a result, the award for the favorite movie actor went to Chalamet who is currently 28 years old. The movie has also become the best-voted show for kids.

The Signature Slime Element

Kids’ Choice Award is practically incomplete with splashing slime over the celebrities and the 2024 event did not miss put. Reneé Rapp, The Kid Laroi, Jelly Roll, and everyone agreed to get slimed and well, there was an abundance of it.
