After the backlash from ‘Women’s World’, Katy Perry is about to take on the world once again with her new single ‘Lifetimes’ which celebrates eternal love.
Katy Perry’s Women’s World was dropped off the Hot 100 after reaching the place of 63 on the list for a week but that has not let the singer simmer down. In fact, she has returned with a bang in the form of a new single called ‘Lifetimes’. This new single belonging to the house genre seems to be setting fire on the stage. She has released the official video of the song on Thursday where the singer is seen to be taking a vacation and the track is a part of her 143 album. The video is directed by trusted Stillz who is known to be frequently collaborating with Bad Bunny and it is produced by Lukasz ‘Dr. Luke’ Gottwald and Vaughn Oliver. This is the second single of the album and the official video release has been nothing more than a success.
The song is about celebrating the bond of eternal love which may come in various forms. Katy has said in a press meet, ‘I wrote it with my good friend and long-time collaborator Sarah Hudson, along with the incredible Vaughn Oliver. It’s about finding that one deep and satisfying love of your life. Personally, I don’t think a soul mate will always come in the form of a partner. It can come in all different ways, a child, a best friend, a pet. For me it is my daughter – I ask her every night, ‘Will you find me in every lifetime?’ She says yes, and I feel found. You’ll find each other, over and over again, for lifetimes.”
The video shows the bike-riding baddie Katy Perry steering through the sea coast of Spain and enjoying with friends on the seashore in a bikini in the daytime and partying like crazy in the nighttime. No proof is needed to be given when the topic of her incredible vocals comes into the picture and this time too she has not let down her fans with her mesmerizing vocals and her sensual beauty along with the hyped and beating house music. This song is basically a party song that has a deeper inner meaning which is heart-touching, to say the least. The album has other collaborations with Kim Petras, Doechii, 21 Savage, and J.I.D.
