As the United Nations approaches the much-anticipated election of all time, there have been rallies getting organized throughout the states. And each is surprising the crowd even more than ever. This time the surprise came the ex-president Barack Obama. While showing support for Kamal Harris, Eminem was called on stage to say a few words in appreciation of Kamal Harris and to introduce Barack Obama. As a proud Detroit native Eminem took to the stage to voice his endorsement of Harris as the next President of the United States. He said, ‘I’m here tonight for a couple of important reasons. As most of you know, the city of Detroit and the whole state of Michigan mean a lot to me. And going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever, and I think it’s important to use your voice, so I’m encouraging everybody to get out and vote, please.’
Then the rapper added, ‘I also think that people shouldn’t be afraid to express their opinions, and I don’t think anyone wants an America where people are worried about retribution, or what people will do if you make your opinion known. I think Vice President Harris supports a future for this country where these freedoms and many others will be protected and upheld. And here to tell you much more about that, President Barack Obama.’ Then Obama stunned everyone while he walked onto the stage and rapped a verse of Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’ noting that his ‘Palms were sweaty, knees weak/ Arms are heavy, vomit on my sweater already/ Mom’s spaghetti/ I’m nervous but on the surface, I’m calm already’ before giving the rapper a quick hug.
Before starting his speech, Obama enjoyed a few moments of being a fanboy and sharing with the crowd that he hoped Eminem would perform and the ex-president would jump out due to excitement. The rally, held in Detroit just days before early voting kicks off in Michigan, featured several prominent figures alongside Obama. The immensely talented and globally acclaimed rapper Eminem, who has long been outspoken against former President Donald Trump, spoke briefly at the event, encouraging Detroit voters to use their voices in the upcoming election.

The event was star-studded and featured NFL Hall of Fame Calvin Johnson, aimed to boost voter enthusiasm in Detroit, a crucial city in the upcoming election. Obama also used the rally to criticize Donald Trump, referring to his behaviors at a recent town hall where Trump opted to entertain the crowd with music rather than engage with voters. He said, ‘If your grandpa was acting like this, you’d be worried,’ warning that Trump seeks ‘unchecked power’. He added, ‘We do not need to see what an older, loonier Donald Trump looks like with no guardrails.’
