The Eras Tour keeps surprising the Swifties with multiple artist collaborations and this time, Taylor Swift invited Sabrina Carpenter on stage. Weekend night’s high-octane performance made the fans go crazy at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome.
The show took place on Saturday, October 26 and the Swift was grooving with her own aura. However, she told the fans that she would be performing someone else’s track for the acoustic section. She told the crowd “It’s been stuck in my head,” and then started singing the track ‘Espresso’ by Sabrina Carpenter.
Whether Taylor Swift tried to recreate what Adele did back in May or not, the crowd was enjoying nonetheless. The excitement peaked after a few seconds when Swift paused and asked the fans “Is it OK if I call her, and you guys can say hi?”. The ‘Fortnight’ singer dialed the carpenter’s number and put it on speakerphone.
Swift asked the ‘Taste’ singer how long it might take her to arrive at the stadium and within a few moments, Carpenter walked to the stage. The well-performed stunt was enough the make Swifties feel ecstatic and when they started singing together, it was an ethereal moment for all.
Together, they performed a mashup with ‘Espresso’ and ‘Is It Over Now?’ by Swift which belongs to the 1989 Vault. It was further complemented by ‘Please Please Please’ by Carpenter.
Other than Sabrina, the final leg of her record-breaking Eras tour was also joined by Florence Welch for the duet track ‘Florida!!!’. It is a collaboration project between Welch and Swift that appears on the album ‘The Tortured Poets Department‘.
Fans noticed her costume change for the ‘Reputation’ bodysuit which made them predict that another Taylor’s Version Album will be coming soon. The global pop star has also declared an official book for the ‘Eras Tour’ along with a physical edition for the ‘Anthology’ album.
On the other hand, Sabrina Carpenter has also embarked on a US tour known as the ‘Short N’ Sweet’ tour which celebrates the success of her album project with the same name. Other than the US, the singer has also announced that the UK and European leg of the music tour will be taking place soon in 2025.
The ‘Short N’ Sweet’ tour is all set to start on March 3 at 3Arena in Dublin. The further shows will be taking place in Birmingham, London and Manchester. The tickets are available now and fans can find tickets from the official website.
