The collaboration of six immensely talented artists, Seafarers has given life to one of the most amazing and soul-capturing tracks called ‘Televangelists’.
The word ‘evangelist’ is said to someone who tries to turn other people into Christians mainly through preaching the Bible and the prolific artists of Seafarers have taken their inspiration from this term and turned it into something that is quite relatable to the world right now. Just like religion was a thing that captured the world in the old times, the internet is doing the same. It feels like, the internet has taken the place of religion which helps people to bond with each other. Their track ‘Televangelists’ speaks of that story.
The lyrics of Seafarers’ new track ‘Televangelists’ are simple, relatable, and strong at the same time. The soulful vocals and the climactic background score masterfully complement the vocals. The credit for this amazing melodic masterpiece goes to the six members of this London-based band. They are Lauren Kinsella, Mathew Herd, Tom Taylor, Arun Thavasothy, Tom McCredie, Dave Hamblett and Euan Burton. These profoundly talented individuals created their band in 2018 to record their debut album. After that they reunited three years later to create their second album ‘II’ and now their latest album ‘Another State’ has been released on 4th October 2024.
The new track is from their latest album and it is being streamed on Spotify for fans to give it a try. Apart from this, they have created other tracks like ‘Bedwetters’, ‘Tough Kids’, ‘Everything I’d Do (to Get a Hold on You)’, and ‘A Little Loss’. Fans can visit their social media profiles on X, Instagram, Facebook, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Spotify Music, Apple Music, and their website to get the latest updates about their upcoming projects.
