Liam Payne’s first single since his tragic death on 16th October was set to be released on Friday, which is on 1st November. The voice of the One Direction alum’s voice will be featured on the posthumous single ‘Do No Wrong’ from producer Sam Pounds. In a heartfelt social media post, Pound mourned the loss of Payne with a sweet message about the song saying, ‘I pray that this will be a blessing to the world like Liam has always dreamed. I pray angels will comfort you all every day while listening. I pray that this song will be a blessing to Ruth, Bear, and the entire family, I pray that this song eclipses the negative echoes.’ He continued by saying, ‘I pray supernatural positive healing power will embrace each and every one of you,’ adding, ‘Let’s all be the blessing.’

Payne earned global fame as part of the since-disbanded pop group One Direction, alongside Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson. Payne auditioned twice for the U.K. reality program ‘The X-Factor’ before being launched into superstardom. He advanced after auditioning in 2008 and 2010 and was cut both times. However, in 2010, he was saved from elimination when Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, and Louis Walsh folded him into a band with fellow teen solo artists. The British musician was found dead after falling from his third-floor balcony of Buenos Aires’ Casa Sur hotel. In a statement, police said they were called to the hotel in the capital’s Palermo neighborhood, where they were notified of an ‘aggressive man who could be under the effects of drugs and alcohol.’

But after the announcement that he was releasing a duet with Liam Payne following the One Direction alum’s unexpected death, the drop has been postponed. ‘Today I’m deciding to hold ‘Do No Wrong’ and leave those liberties up to all family members,’ Sam shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, Oct. 29. ‘I want all proceeds to go to a charity of their choosing (or however they desire).’ Sam—known for the songs ‘Play My Guitar’ and ‘Take My Time’—shared his hope that eventually ‘Do Not Wrong’ will come to light. ‘Even though we all love the song it’s not the time yet,’ he said. ‘We are all still mourning the passing of Liam, and I want the family to mourn in peace and in prayer. We will all wait.’

However, Sam seemingly shared a sneak peek at the track on Instagram, posting an audio recording that Liam allegedly sent over text before his death. ‘You’re my once-in-a-lifetime love, yeah / and I’m never gonna let you go,’ Liam allegedly sang in the clip, before offering his take on their work in progress. ‘Or whatever your melody was,’ the 31-year-old noted. ‘You could develop that bit. I think it’s sick, so do it!’Alongside the audio, Sam captioned the post, ‘Let’s all take our time. We love you, Liam. The family as a whole comes first. Let’s wait.’
