Queen Bey has another record in her name! She just became the most nominated Grammy artist in history. The global music icon received 11 nominations at the 67th annual Grammy Awards. The nominations were all for the recently released eighth studio album ‘Cowboy Carter‘. The nominations included major categories like Album of the Year, and Best Country Album, and the single ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ earned nominations for Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. Before this year’s nominations were out, she was tied with her husband Jay Z for being the most nominated artist in Grammy history with 88 nominations each in their names. Now with the announcement of the 67th annual Grammy Awards nominations, the ‘Single Ladies’ singer just earned a total of 99 nominations throughout her career, snatching the no 1 spot from her husband!
Beyoncé broke the record for the most rammy wins as an artist back in 2023. She accumulated 32 Grammy awards in her name. However, after a snub in the previous year, her husband, American rapper and record producer, Jay Z took a moment to call out the Recording Academy for his wife never being awarded Album Of The Year despite being nominated and having one of the most successful albums. While receiving his Global Impact Award during the 66th Grammy Awards onstage, the rapper said, “I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of The Year; so even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that: the most Grammys, never won Album of The Year, that doesn’t work.”
‘Cowboy Carter’ is undoubtedly one of the most successful albums of the previous year, earning Beyoncé five-star reviews from some of the most acclaimed critics and publications along with massive commercial success. NME, a well-known publication shared, “In the age of stan culture, sceptics will argue that objective criticism of Beyoncé can feel hard to come by. Those who don’t already love country may find some of ‘Cowboy Carter’s balladeering sections to be a little long, or query whether an artist of Beyoncé’s stature is invoking certain ironies when she rallies her audience to “stand for something”, given her own relative quiet on recent political affairs.
🐝 #Beyonce stands alone as the most nominated artist in #GRAMMYs history. She is also the most awarded artist in GRAMMY history.

“But even if interpreted only on the grounds of artistic spectacle, it’s an undeniable thrill to see her swing so big on a project that dares her to be so intimate and vocal-focused, while making way for country’s up-and-comers too.”
What makes this year particularly revolutionizing for Queen Bey’s career is that she broke through into the Americana and country genres. With these nominations at the 67th annual Grammy Awards, she once again expanded her already diversified music range, proving her magical excellence. If this year Beyoncé wins the most coveted Album of the Year award, she will become the first Black woman in the 21st century to win that honor, making history. With the win, she will follow in the footsteps of the legendary Lauryn Hill, who took home the Album of the Year award for The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1999. So, the wait for this year’s award ceremony is not just significant for the artist, but the entire music industry!
