Popular Indian rapper Badshah is renowned for many reasons. From copying Bengali folk songs without copyright to participating in international collaborations, he has made some major contributions. This time, the rapper is creating a buzz by not paying dues for the hit track ‘Baawla’ along with Samreen Kaur and Uchana Amit.

Soon enough, the rapper stepped into a legal suit for a hefty alleged nonpayment of due for the song. Delaying payment was all well until the case was filed at the Karnal District Court. According to IANS, case number ARB 47/2024 is currently under the CNR Number HRKR010130502024, which includes numerous payment reminders before taking any legal action. But it seems like Badshah is not afraid of it or may be used to it.

There are several allegations that the rapper has only provided false assurances of payment and kept on postponing the deadlines. Even after sending adequate payment reminders, he paid nothing which made the authority take legal help.

The song ‘Baawla’ by Badshah, Uchana Amit, and Samreen Kaur is currently trending in the Indian market and it helped the rapper garner much attention from the fans along with good traction and streams on the music platform. Despite earning from it, the rapper decided to pay nothing. Though he wrote it, there were also female vocal contributions from Nirmala and Shakuntala. Aditya Dev helped in the composition and their united effort made it hit.

This is not the first time Badshah is facing legal action as previously, in 2023, he was caught up in controversies of online betting. The Maharashtra Police’s Cyber Cell Department called for Badshah under Section 160 of CrPC. However, He was not betting himself and was not accused. But he was definitely a witness who had nothing to do but cooperate with police in the investigation process.

It has been two years since the ‘Baawla’ song came out the rapper delayed payments for all these months. However, it is hard to figure out why the rapper is doing so since he has no lack of money. Despite his whacky tracks, Badshah is one of the most successful rappers in India. His net worth is quite high and he owns a lot of properties.

Now, it is time to see whether the rapper pays his dues or decides to hire a lawyer with the due payment to defend himself.
