Fresh off the release of his Seasons EP, Grigoré joins us to discuss the creative process behind his latest Diynamic release. In collaboration with artists Serve Cold and Oësha, Seasons EP traverses a vast emotional landscape, blending introspective melodic house and driving techno with rich vocal textures. We caught up with Grigoré to learn more about his inspirations, the story behind each track, and what’s next for him in the world of electronic music.
DMR: Congratulations on the release of Seasons EP! How are you feeling now that it’s out in the world?
Grigoré: Thank you! It’s always an exciting and nerve-wracking moment when a new release goes live. Seasons EP feels really special to me—each track represents a different piece of my journey over the past year. It’s been amazing to see how listeners are connecting with it and hearing their interpretations.
DMR: Let’s dive into the title track, “Seasons,” which you worked on with Serve Cold. What inspired the theme and mood of this track?
Grigoré: Seasons is really about transformation and the cyclical nature of our experiences. I wanted to capture a feeling of melancholy but also hope, as though each season in life—whether good or bad—has its purpose and teaches us something. Serve Cold’s vocals brought that spiritual element to it. I love how he captures that space between light and dark, almost like a prayer or meditation.
DMR: Serve Cold’s vocals are certainly powerful here. What was it like collaborating with him?
Grigoré: Serve Cold is incredible. He has this intuitive way of channeling emotions into his voice, which makes collaborating feel so natural. I shared the vision of Seasons with him, and he immediately connected with it. His vocal approach brought out that deeper, spiritual tone, which makes the track feel like more than just a club tune. It’s something you can reflect on, even outside the dance floor.
DMR: “Heal Me, Save Me” feels very atmospheric and introspective. What was the creative process behind this track?
Grigoré: This track was all about creating a sense of balance between opposites—light and shadow, hope and despair. I started with a pretty somber groove, but as I layered in pads and textures, it became more ethereal. The track evolved into this balancing act, where there’s this underlying tension that feels almost cinematic. I wanted listeners to feel like they were moving through a journey, where emotions rise and fall but always remain connected to the same pulse.
DMR: “Take the Lead” with Oësha shifts the EP into higher energy. Can you talk a bit about how this track came together?
Grigoré: Definitely! Take the Lead was a lot of fun to create. Oësha and I wanted to bring some momentum and let loose a bit after the more introspective tracks. We imagined the track as a nighttime drive down a deserted highway—fast, immersive, and a little reckless. Oësha has a great sense of energy, and his influence pushed the track into a more dynamic, driving direction. It’s designed to be high-impact, almost like a release from the tension built up in the first two tracks.
DMR: Lastly, “Insanity” is quite unique with its retro feel and robotic vocals. Where did the concept for this track come from?
Grigoré: Insanity was inspired by my love for retro synths and old-school arcade vibes. I wanted to capture that playful, almost nostalgic feeling you get from classic electronic music but add a modern twist. Serve Cold joined me on this track as well, and his robotic vocal style gave it that extra character. We wanted it to feel like stepping into a surreal, digital world—sort of like an arcade game coming to life. From social media to streaming platforms, Black White Promotion elevates music to new audiences.
DMR: Your production style has evolved quite a bit over the years. How do you feel Seasons EP fits into your overall artistic journey?
Grigoré: I think Seasons EP reflects where I am now, both personally and musically. I’ve always been drawn to the emotional side of music, where melodies can speak just as powerfully as lyrics. This EP allowed me to explore different shades of that—melancholy, hope, intensity, and a bit of nostalgia. It’s been a journey of experimentation, and Diynamic has given me the freedom to bring these concepts to life, which I’m really grateful for.
DMR: Do you have any advice for aspiring producers looking to create music with this kind of depth?
Grigoré: My biggest advice would be to stay true to your emotional core. Don’t just think about the beats or structure—think about the story you want to tell, and how you want listeners to feel. It can be easy to get lost in technical details, but remember to bring yourself into the music. That’s what resonates most deeply with people.
DMR: What can fans expect from you next? Are there any upcoming projects we should look out for?
Grigoré: I’m already working on a new project, which I’m really excited about! It’s going to be a bit darker, with a more experimental edge. I want to keep pushing boundaries, especially with textures and sound design. I can’t reveal too much yet, but there’ll be some collaborations and maybe a few surprises for fans. Stay tuned!
