It has been a long time and long hours of dedication that Adele had with the Las Vegas Residency. However, it was time for her to say goodbye after two years. Last Saturday, the ‘Hello’ singer offered her final performance at the residency which made her emotional and nostalgic.

“Weekends with Adele” Las Vegas residency started two years back and it was the 100th episode of the show. In the farewell video, Adele remarked the love and support that she received from the fans. She said, “I will miss it terribly, and I will miss you terribly,” and also added, “I don’t know when I’m next going to perform again. I’m not doing anything else.”

The singer further continued with “Of course, I’ll be back. The only thing I’m good at is singing. I just don’t know when I next want to come on stage.”

She did not forget to mention her son and her love for him and also said that the residency helped her to keep her life ‘normal’ and she did nothing but a tour. She said she is always excited to spend time with his son on the weekends and addressed him, “I love you to bits.” She also mentioned her partner Rich Paul, and thanked him for “making me feel that I could do whatever I want to do.”

The 16-time Grammy award winner has been doing “Weekends with Adele” for a long time now and it sparked a controversy back in January 2022, when she postponed a show at just one day of notice. She was found tearful in the video where she expressed that her team was “absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID,” and it was “impossible to finish the show” at that time.

While a lot of fans showed frustration, Adele stood by her decision and defended her choice which is quite valid for an artist who does not even take a day off from making her fans happy. She said that she was “embarrassed” to make the delay however, it “made my confidence in myself grow, because it was a very brave thing to do.” She also said that she is “very proud of myself for standing by my artistic needs.”

“Weekends with Adele” started in November 2022 and it already has been two years. It was finally time for Adele to bid goodbye.
