Kendrick Lamar is going to be the headliner of the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show. Recently, it is coming to know that Lil Wayne and Kendrick Lamar had a chat regarding this performance. The NFL came up with an update in September that Lamar is going to perform at the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show, which will take place in New Orleans.

Many have celebrated the news after knowing Lamar’s performance. However, there are a few discussions on New Orleans being the hometown of Lil Wayne and he is not considered for the performance.

After the announcement, Wayne made a post on social media that says ‘That hurt. Hurt a lot, you know what I’m talking about, hurt a whole lot. I blamed myself for not being mentally prepared for a let which is automatically mentally putting myself in that position like somebody told me that was my position. So I blamed myself for that.

The scenario has changed a lot from the previous time. Lil Wayne and Kendrick Lamar had a chat that shows that both the artists have come to a common ground. While talking with Skip Bayless, Lil Wayne said ‘I’ve spoken to him, and I wish him all the best and I told him he better kill it. He gotta kill it’.

Both the artists were not on very good terms. In November Lamar, dropped his album, named ‘GNX’. The very first song of the album is ‘Wacced Out Murals’ and in this track, Lamar sang ‘Used to bump Tha Carter III, I held my Rollie chain proud / Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down’.

After listening to the track, Wayne was quite surprised and responded ‘Man wtf I do?! I just be chillin&dey still kome 4 my head. Let’s not take kindness for weakness. Let this giant sleep. I beg u all. No one really wants destruction, not even me but I shall destroy if disturbed. On me. Love’.

Lil Wayne also said ‘That’s my first time hearing it. I think he’s a fan like I’m a fan of his music. I think means he saw what everyone else saw, he saw how much it meant to me. He didn’t let me down. No explanation was needed for that. I think I understand. His hard work is the reason why he made it there, and obviously that part about letting me down is me just being upset and disappointed about not getting the spot’.
