Skrams: I’m feeling good confident and proud of my team for helping put everything together and the vid turned out better than I expected.
DMR: Can you walk us through the creative process when you were writing the track or composing it?
Skrams: Tbh I was really jackin the beat and it be the vibes for me….it’s like the instrumental be talkin to me and tellin me what to say sometimes lol I kno that sound krazy but If I can’t vibe with it it’s clipped. I ain even write the whole song fr. I put together like the lesss than half a verse and juss punched in from there.
DMR: What was the idea behind ‘Locked In’? What sparked the idea for this song?
Skrams: When I was cookin up I was juss thinkin bout gang the hood shit I been thru and the shit I had to do and at this point in my life i feel like im Locked in im focused I kno what I want and comin for it no kap
DMR: Did this track evolve in ways you did not imagine when you first started working on this song?
Skrams: Honestly I make a lot of songs some dont even make the cut but I can say when I released this one I got alotta positive feedback from mad different people like people I don’t even fw fr sharin n repostin so yea it caught more traffick then I though it would
DMR: What is the message or emotions you want the viewers to take away from your latest creation?
Skrams: The message I want viewers to take from this is probly juss be yaself have fun with wateva u doin and if u feel like wateva u doin is it… then lock in n take that shit to next level and always do ya best
DMR: Did you experiment with any new sound or style for this track? Or is it something that you were quite familiar with musically?
Skrams: It wasnt really nothin new fr like switched the flow a little bit but its wasn’t too far away from my original sound
