As for the first Valentine’s Day together as fiancés, both artists are here with a surprise album announcement for their fans. Their joint album is releasing on March 21st and it is called ‘I Said I Love You First’. The couple released the first single from the album ‘Scared of Loving You’ on February 13th, just in time for a little treat on Valentine’s Day. The album promises to reveal their love story from start to end. The album will be a tale of their love story, from the pair first meeting as collaborators in 2019 to finally falling in love and confessing their feelings for each other.
Gomez shared this wonderful album announcement to her Instagram on February 13th referencing how her fans thought that she had abandoned her music career now that she is more focused on her acting career. She wrote, “I always trick you guys.” “My NEW album I Said I Love You First with my best friend [Benny Blanco], is out on 3/21.” This revelation comes just a day after the singer and actress revealed that it would be very hard for her to go back to music as she’s planning to “focus on acting” during the film festival on February 9th.
Blanco is a music producer and Gomez is the singer in this new project, and according to the pair, this album will “celebrate the pair’s love story and [give] fans a unique window into their relationship.” “It chronicles their entire story — before they met, falling in love and looking to what the future holds,” the press release says. The album’s title is a nod to the fact that Gomez was the first one to express her love, the couple confirmed in a previous TikTok together.
‘Scared of Loving You’ is an intimate song written by Gomez, Balance, and co-written and co-produced by Finneas. It was released as the lead title along with a music video where the couple and their affection towards each other take the front row. Now for the viewers, the timeline of their relationship is essential to know since it inspired the essence of the upcoming album.

Since then the relationship has been going strong and healthy and the couple announced the engagement in December, 2024. Now taking it to the next level, the pair is releasing an entire album together. Ahead of the album’s release, Blanco and Gomez confirmed an upcoming collaboration with Gracie Abrams for the song ‘Call Me When You Break Up’.
