US Artist Avery Stafford Provides a Storytelling Experience You Won’t Want to Miss!
(DailyMusicRoll Editorial):- Portland, Oregon Mar 2, 2025 (Issuewire.com) – Sometimes, a song’s creation can be attributed to inspiration and divine providence. This is the case with “Everything I Own,” the newest radio single from Gospel/R&B vocalist Avery Stafford. Listeners and music influencers will likely recognize it as a lyrical achievement in storytelling. We encourage music lovers to anticipate the release of this radio-edited track on March 20, 2025–just one month before Easter.
“Everything I Own” stands out from Avery’s previous work. In this song, he crafts an allegorical narrative in which he portrays himself as a Black slave “standing on an auction block, waiting for buyers to bid on the value of life.” The powerful revelation in the chorus reveals that Jesus Christ outbid all other potential buyers with a price that only “He was willing to pay.” The significant sacrifice that Jesus made for Avery’s life is encapsulated in the line: “I will give everything I own.” Although Stafford is already known for his inspirational songwriting, we expect fans to recognize this particular composition as something extraordinary.

Originally written in 1999 and later included in the 2004 album *Undignified*, Stafford does not recall the exact circumstances surrounding the song’s creation. He remembers, “All I can recall is picking up my acoustic guitar, and the entire song downloaded into my spirit in less than an hour.” Another memorable moment came when he first played the demo for his friend Steve Maxwell, a former vocalist for the Christian group Acappella. “Steve’s reaction startled me a bit. I thought he had heard it before, but that was not the case. He was slightly annoyed that I had waited so long to share it.” The track features Avery’s passionate lead vocals, along with contributions from Maxwell and Ike Graul, another longtime friend and musical collaborator.
“Everything I Own” has never been released as a radio single until now. It is set to be promoted as a crossover Christian/R&B track, with Tunecore distributing a remastered radio-edited version on March 20, 2025.
