After her parents fled the Balkans and settled in a new area to start a fresh life, young Dua had the opportunity to connect with refugee children and families her desire to continue to be a part of the UNICEF movement was fueled. She even donated signed merchandise to UNICEF’s auction to raise funds for the children affected during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is the founder of Sunny Hill Foundation whose mission is to fight injustice and poverty in Kosovo while strengthening democratic values have created a great impact in Kosovo. She being the partner of Global Citizen which is a movement that aims to end extreme poverty globally has also created an enormous impact as well. For her philanthropic efforts and her incredible hard work in spreading international awareness of Albania, she was granted Albanian citizenship in 2022.
