Although John was never a diligent classical student he trained hard to incorporate his own style.

The production company established by John is known as Rocket Pictures. It was just another initiative that took birth from his music production label known as The Rocket Record Company. Rocket Pictures started with a ten-year deal with The Walt Disney Company and later on, it made a three-year deal with Paramount Pictures. Currently, the company is working with STX Entertainment.
