Taylor Swift’s epic and never-ending Eras Tour is perhaps to its climax now. The last weekend of the sold-out tour makes sure that the concert stands out with a bang. The set for Vancouver night offered many memorable moments for the Swifties who had been early waiting for the day. It took place on Dec. 6, 2024, and the Friday night in Vancouver offered the perfect mood to start the weekend in this festive season.
It is a part of the final three Eras shows and more than about 60,000 souls were present to witness the Eras Aura. For those who are still counting the number of shows, this is marking the final act from 150 to 152. The set for final act was set in a way that offers a chronological musical adventure of the artist’s discography. Slaying in the blue-and-gold ‘Lover’ bodysuit, Swift said, “You and I, we’re about to go on a little adventure,” and further continues, “That adventure is gonna span 18 years of music, and we’re gonna be doing this one era at a time. How does that sound to you, Vancouver?”
The City was Ready!
Vancouver’s iconic Gastown steam clock was also a part of Swift’s set as it changed its chime in order to play the track ‘Shake It Off’ every 15 minutes which never ever happened in history before. There were a total of 13 Switt tracks which were displayed all around in Vancouver. The songs included, “Down Bad,” “Style,” Anti-Hero”,” Willow” and many others.
The Stadium was ready Too!
The organizers did an amazing job in utilizing each section of the stadium in a way that offers a well-rounded view of her performance from every corner. Swift swiftly glides around the whole stage including the main stage, the diamond, the catwalk, the end stage, and everything. Both the lower and upper levels of the stadium offered a satisfying view of the performance. The immersive visual experience along with the giant screen was a perfect combo that made concertgoers happy.
A Sense of Farewell on a Friday Night
While the performance was a blast, there were ample emotional moments as the singer shared her feelings regarding this long tour. She said, “This night is bound to be filled with so many different emotions, just for me, my band, my crew, my fellow performers on stage, the dancers, and for anyone that’s been with us and cared about this tour,” but she also added, “But right now, honestly, I’m just feeling so overjoyed that we decided to spend our last shows in Vancouver. I love you so much. My face hurts from grinning.” She also shared, “This has been the greatest last Friday night of the tour that I could’ve imagined with you.”
