The biggest night of country music was held in Texas on a Sunday night. The fan-voted award show was aired live from The Moody Center in Austin, for its 23rd iteration. The function had a star-studded nomination list and the red carpet made it even more sparkling. The night was a big one for Jelly Roll as he took away three awards for which he was nominated. His big bag of awards includes video of the year for the hit song “Need a Favor.” In his acceptance speech on the stage, Jelly Roll thanked his wife Bunnie XO, while sweetly saying, “I am blessed to have you as a best friend; I am blessed to have you as a partner. You find beauty in broken things, and I love you.”
Other than him, Keith Urban, Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, Little Big Town + Sugarland, Megan Moroney, and Sam Hunt were also among the biggest stars who performed on the night. However, Jelly Roll was the one who closed the night. Wilson, Brooks & Dunn, and the rock legend Sammy Hagar honored the late country music star Toby Keith. Together, they performed a celebratory tribute performance backed by the late star’s long time on stage. Toby’s family was also present in the audience on Sunday.
