Like every year, Lollapalooza 2024 has also offered a handful of memorable moments that you might have missed if you watched it from home. Let’s find a few moments.
Chicago’s Grant Park turned into an exciting Swamp fest with Lollapalooza 2024 and undoubtedly, it was one of the best. After the morning shower in Chicago, there was a slippery hazard at the park but it could not stop the concert-hoppers. It was highly humid and the sweaty adventure reached new heights of entertainment with the performances by some of the favorite artists in the scene. Whether it is Deftones’ rage, Stray Kids’ joy, or Chappell Roan’s wrestle; Lollapalooza 2024 turned into a happening celebration for everyone. Not to forget how Blink-182 offers the most number of ‘di** jokes’. Let’s look back at some of the most exciting moments from the fest.
Pink Ponies on Thursday
Blondshell was performing in the 1:50 PM slot when she suddenly noticed and said, “There are a lot of Pink Ponies in the crowd,” and it was true. The audience went wild with this remark to Chappell Roan’s ‘Pink Pony Club’. Olivia Dean handled the crowd with grace and her sunny tracks which even got her praised by the Roan fans. Suited in vests, cowboy hats, and chaps; the crowd went crazy when the screen projected “CHAPPELL WRESTLING,” and frankly, the theme was fun. Kesha also joined the stage soon after and everyone was ready to groove with the high-octane beats of ‘Tik Tok’. With a knife and a significant amount of artificial blood, Kesha did something that does not often happen in Chicago.
Cops of Chicago
Well, the folks who go the Lollapalooza likes to be on the top of everything but the cops of Chicago would not let that happen as it is illegal to smoke in the parks of Chicago. And guess what? There is no tolerance even for the fest! However, the cops themselves could be found ceasing blunts and cigars from the young folk just to enjoy it within themselves. Fun indeed!
The Vodka Stage
The Vodka Stage or Petrillo Bandshell is not very appealing to the concertgoers and the concrete pit shows that no one wants to mosh or jump. However, the artists elegantly captivated everyone even though the sun was brutal. Raye, Teezo Touchdown, Rock band Geese; everybody made sure to put in their best efforts which can nullify the extreme heat and humidity. Singer Abigail Morris, BoyWithUke, Faye Webster; everybody interacted with the crowd. Perhaps a good year for the Vodka Stage.
Starting from Vince Staples’ ecstatic comedy to Hozier’s appealing stage presence, there were many remarkable moments. SZA, Megan Thee Stallion, Stray Kids, and everybody made sure to set the stage on fire. Flavors of rap were also offered by Metro Boomin and Future. In a nutshell, Lollapalooza 2024 offered everything that music lovers wished for and even didn’t wish for.
