The astounding rock band, Foo fighters appeared on 9th February on Monday on ‘The Tonight Show’. They performed in the brilliant track Waiting on a War’ from their much-talked-about album ‘Medicine at Midnight’. The frontman of the band Dave Grohl also joined for an interview with Jimmy Fallon. A trio of the background was also added by the vocalist to the mix as the song begins with swooning acoustics and moves to booming with the finale of the big guitar. Grohl spoke in the interview with Fallon about the very long process of releasing the album ‘Medicine at Midnight’. The songs of the album are created during pre-covid and they are designed to become part of squawky stadiums shows that did not happen immediately.

He also shared a story about the great David Bowie and said that the pair also met at the famous concert of the 50th birthday of Bowie in 1997. After a few years, Grohl went on to see that Bowie wanted to sing a song that is purposefully written for a film. Someone arrived to turn down the offer with Bowie after waiting for a response for quite some time. Grohl got a bit frustrated after David Bowie send him an email and he replied with a quick thank you.

The track ‘Waiting on a War’ has got quite a lot of history to go with it. The frontman Grohl from the very popular band Foo fighters got very much unsettled with the response from David Bowie. Then he went on to email him back and after the birthday party that was held at the famous Madison Square Garden, he has not seen him again. He also said that it will take at least another 15 years to see him and he replied by saying ‘Not if I see you first.’ It has been admitted by Dave Grohl that it took him a few moments to understand that Bowing was trying to be funny and did not mean to demean him in any way.

The exchange between the two led to a goofy and erratic correspondence that took place for various years. Bowie still would wish him a very happy new year in June. Grohl also used to reply funnily and said that ‘Drink someday, yes?’. Bowie will always respond immediately through an email and say ‘I will, thanks.’ This is a unique conversation that Dave Grohl had with the famous and very talented late rocker.
