Ayushmann misses no chance to pay his tribute with Kishore Kumar’s ‘Chookar Mere Mann Ko’

Singing straight out of heart, Ayushmann Khurrana paid his tribute to musical legend late Kishore Kumar on his birthday, 4th August. Ayushman is very much fond of Kishore Da’s songs and he misses no chance to perform them. This time he chose the famous romantic single ‘Chookar Mere Mann Ko’ and performed along with musician Akshayye Varma who helped him with the piano. The song was featured in the Bollywood hit movie ‘Yaarana’ back in 1981. The singer has masterfully recreated the track with a piano which definitely sounds soulful enough to make the fans go crazy.

Akshayye on the other hand is a talented musician who trained Ayushmann in piano for his latest hit movie ‘Andhadhun’. And now, he has become not only a piano but a dialect coach as well who is helping the artist for the next movie ‘Doctor G’. Both of them performed together and the singer shared a post on Instagram on 4th August to show his love and tribute for Kishore Kumar. He said, “Happy birthday Kishore da! You don’t sleep the entire night and then record this early in the morning. And you don’t get sleep coz it’s Kishore da’s birthday.” The excitement is quite evident through his words and expressions as he further added, “And I’m in his state MP! Bhopal is treating me well. Khandwa, his birthplace is just two hours away from here.” It shows what an ardent fan of Kishore Kumar, Ayushmann is.

He also showed some massive appreciation for Akshayye as he said, “And pls welcome @akshayvarma04 , my musician friend, who trained me with the piano in Andhadhun. And now he’s training me with the dialect for Doctor G!”. He is definitely looking forward to his upcoming movie and none can stop him now. He ended the post with his love and deep respect for his idol Kishore Kumar, making him immortal through his tracks. The video has been posted over Instagram through IGTV video that already garnered more than a million views. Ayushmann’s love for Kishore reflects through the movie characters he plays as Abhimanyu Roy in Meri Pyaari Bindu, Akash Sarraf, from Andhadhun were the fans of Kishore as well. Kishore Kumar was a prolific actor, singer, and all-around performer enriched with talent and skill. Ayushmann is following the same steps with his love for art, movies, and music.
