Kanika Kapoor’s dream collaboration is with A.R. Rahman
While sharing who she would like to collaborate or work with in the future Kanika Kapoor gave a straight answer to the reporters. She said, “A lot of directors have helped me get to the point that I am right now. However, AR Rahman is one composer, I would love to work with. He makes a singer sound different and I love that. Music is very spiritual for me. Even on a day when I’m down, I sing to make myself feel better. And what’s better than singing in front of a huge crowd? If it’s a big concert, it is amazing to see people going crazy and that gives me a high.”
Speaking of her Bollywood career, Kapoor said in another interview in 2017, “Today I feel like I am an established singer in Bollywood. I carefully choose my songs. I write music as well, so I have that sensibility.” “God has been very kind to me. I am bringing up my children in London, so it is a big struggle for me. I didn’t get anything easy. I had to sing my songs really well to make it on my own,” she continued.
