6. ‘Tu Hi Re’ – Bombay (1995)

Bombay is one of those movies in Bollywood that has a remarkable soundtrack and each song from the film is a great one. There’s no doubt that A.R Rahman’s composition is one of the driving factors but Krishnamurthy’s additional creative input cannot be ignored. Although Hariharan sang a major part of the song, she took care of the second half and made it sound even more magical with her prolific vocal skills. Mehboob wrote the romantically poignant lyrics that go like, “Tu hi re, tu hi re, tere bina main kaise jiyoon, aaja re, aaja re, yun hi tadpa na tu mujhko”.
