There is something about music that transcends through nature and that organic energy can be felt through Omid Shabani’s latest musical composition ‘A Quintet in the Forest’. Just like the title of the song suggests, the subject matter is based on four musician vagabonds in search of the tune of nature and they finally meet the fifth member of the quintet, a forest spirit with a soul a bird. Shabani has done an amazing job composing this project and his magic of handpan is further emphasized by the united efforts of Hojjat Farajian, Amir Malekizadeh, and Hooman Baghi who has gracefully handled the musical instruments like Oud, Fagott, and French Horn, respectively.
The song ‘A Quintet in the Forest’ offers a captivating soundscape that is filled with an ambient woody texture which depicts the picture of a magical forest. The song has also been released with an official music video that perfectly portrays the subject matter and the flavor of the track through an aesthetic and creative video. Director Mohammad Tabrizi did a great job is reflecting Shabani’s creative psyche through the music video.
